By 2002, Bowers + Kubota had established projects across all major Hawaiian islands.
In 2008, with more than 55 employees, Bowers + Kubota built and moved into their LEED Gold Certified building in Waipahu’s historic plantation district.
Brian and Dexter believed everyone should benefit more from their work. In 2012, Bowers + Kubota officially became a 100% ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) company.
As projects began to expand, Bowers + Kubota established a branch office on Maui.
Expanding their business, Bowers + Kubota acquired H&O III, a Kamaaina electrical engineering design firm with over 52 years of expertise.
With a workforce of over 200 employees on all islands, Bowers + Kubota opened its branch office on Kauai.
Expanding and enhancing design capabilities, Bowers + Kubota acquired Belt Collins Hawaii, another Kamaaina firm with over 67 years of expertise in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering and Planning. This integration aims to shape their future by bringing together creative, technical, and management expertise to plan for Hawaii’s future landmark sites.
