The Consolidated Rental Car (ConRAC) Facility at the Kahului Airport encompasses 17 acres. The facility integrated with the existing airport operations by incorporating site improvements to connect to existing airport access road and terminal loop, upgrading the public parking lot, construction of a new entrance to the airport, and an electric tram on a rail system to move people from the Terminal Arrival Area to the ConRAC. It was constructed using auger cast-in-place concrete piles, concrete structural decking, CMU block tiles, standing seam metal and thermoplastic roofing. A key feature of the facility is the skylight that resides over the customer service area to allow a spacious feel and commanding view of Haleakala.
